Don't know if you remember but I stood my ground re not being put onto Retuxmib and wrote to ask my specialist to ask if I could remain on Humira but try MTX with it (they had told me the Humira had stopped working as my my inflammatory levels were sky high in July,Aug,Sept.) They agreed to let me try.

Well i rang my rheummy and asked how my levels were on Humira nd MTX-apparently they are now back to normal!

So if you have a gut feeling about your meds-stick to your guns and ask!

Thanks peeps!
Doreen i only take 5 mgs MTX>
I'm tolerating it well thank goodness, I could feel a wee bit nauseous if I thought about it but I drink loads of water, take it with food and try and eat small nibbles regularly and keep my mind on other things such as the PRICES VETS CHARGE !!!! Scared

Brilliant news Julie - glad it's working out. Have been wondering how you were for a couple of weeks. Is the new man in your life still behaving impeccably?

That`s great news Julie, I`m so pleased. I`m staying on it too, as my markers were down in my follow-up appointment. I`d have been devastated to have humira stopped.

I know what you mean about vets fees - they don`t come cheap, but it`s worth shopping around. Our nearest vets is part of a chain, and charge the earth for injections etc. We go to one about 6 miles away, a small practice, & it`s totally different. They are really good with Flynn, very thorough and caring, and a lot cheaper.

Take care,

Kathleen x

Good for you, Julie!

Instinct matters very much with rheumatoid. I also think it is a blessing to have a rheumy who will listen to your wishes aswell as offering their advice.

Love,
A
